Lattice transmission towers are open steel frameworks designed to support overhead conductors while maintaining necessary safety clearances from ground wires, the ground, and structures. These spatial truss structures are assembled from individual or compound equilateral angle steel members; gusset plates join adjacent members at the nodes, with standard bolts transferring shear forces at the connections. The tower base assembly may be fabricated by welding multiple steel plates, while the remainder of the tower utilizes a bolted sectional design to facilitate transport and installation. The steel grades used are Q235 and Q345. The tower surfaces are hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection, and for towers under 60 meters in height, climbing rungs may be installed on one of the main structural members.

Angle processing includes BL2020 and BL1412C CNC steel lines, covering angle capacities of 200×20 and 140×12. A PP103813B CNC hydraulic punching machine handles 24mm holes, while additional radial and vertical drills support other hole work. This equipment base is directly relevant to a lattice package built from marked angles, plates, bolt holes, and repeatable member geometry. Member marking and hole preparation can remain connected with the intended bolted-node arrangement before sectional supply.
