The special campaign for the beautification and upgrading of communication facilities launched by Hefei High-tech Zone on January 7 represents a new direction for domestic urban infrastructure construction. By cooperating with China Tower and China Mobile, the zone has adopted a dual-path approach of "new construction optimization + existing stock transformation" to solve the problem of disharmony between facilities and the landscape: new base stations are equipped with transparent aluminum aesthetic covers, achieving "invisibility" by matching the surrounding environment through the "one zone, one policy" principle; 30 communication cabinets along key roads have been transformed into "micro-landscapes" using hand-painting techniques that integrate regional cultural and technological innovation elements.
It is reported that China Tower plans to promote the installation of covers for the first batch of 60 new base stations in April 2026 and complete the transformation of 100 existing base stations by the end of the year. This "function + aesthetics" transformation model has been emulated in many regions, driving the upgrade of communication infrastructure from "practicality first" to "humanistic adaptation".
